One of our favourite spots for breathtaking scenery has to be the Golden Cap in Dorset - the highest cliff on the south coast, it makes for a truly  impressive setting. Overlooking the famous Jurassic Coast and miles upon miles of unspoilt countryside, it is perfect for those who love both the salty sea breeze and fresh countryside air. Head out on the circular walk, beginning in the coastal hamlet of Seatown. From here, it’s a one-mile climb along the South West Coast Path before you reach the golden sandstone peak that gives the Golden Cap its name. The Cap is a lovely spot for a  picnic, so the two of you can sit back and soak up the vast ocean views, revering a dreamy proposal.

After your magical moment, descent down along the coast then inland, where you’ll discover the romantic ruins of St Gabriel’s Chapel, wandering through beautiful woodland before returning back to Seatown. Treat that special someone to an intimate dinner at one of Dorsets many eateries, or cosy pubs.
