Fancy heading there for one of their wonderful feast nights, Sunday lunch or festivals? No problem, our absolutely idyllic Stargazy Sky Shepherd’s Hut is just a short walk from the inspirational River Cottage and the 300 acre organic Trill Farm. 


Take a look at their fantastic festival, taking place in August, including music, masterclasses, scrummy food (of course!) and more.

But, if you’re looking for things to see and do nearby, that’s not where it ends...

From Stargazy, and in fact our delightful Chalet on the Beach and Old Orchard Cabin, there is lots within easy reach, to name a few:

Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week is taking place from 28th July to 3rd August and includes a whole host of super-fun activities, from a ‘build a bath tub to race’ competition to fireworks, a model boat display and swimming challenge.

Celebrating its sixth year this year (on 8th and 9th September), the Food Rocks Festival in Lyme Regis is well worth a visit. Started by Mark Hix, the aim of this fun event is to promote the local area by presenting some of the best food, producers and suppliers that it has to offer. There will be a showcase of interactive cooking demonstrations, talks and tastings (yum!) and all money raised is donated to the RNLI and the Fisherman’s Mission, so all-in-all a super event!

There are some great farm shops in this area too, perfect for picking up local-sourced supplies – perhaps for a scrummy barbecue! Felicity’s Farm Shop is conveniently located on the A35 between Bridport and Charmouth and Miller’s Farm Shop is also close to the A35, near Kilmington – both are well worth a visit.

There is, of course, plenty more to see and do within the local area (and beyond, if you wish to venture further) but we just wanted to give you a little snippet into what you could get up to on your glamping getaway.
