Overview
Step Inside
Nestled in the tranquil embrace of Cornish woodland, Reden sparks adventure from the moment you arrive and make your way up the fern-lined path to your treetop escape. Climbing up the ladder into the canopy, you’ll soon feel the world melting away as you enter your dappled den. Inside Reden, an earthy mix of neutral tones and wooden walls creates a peaceful setting that blends seamlessly with the jungle outside. A cosy sofa area looks out through a floor-to-ceiling window at the luscious woodland beyond, with giant gunnera and swaying ferns promising quiet company as you delve into a book. Up a small ladder, you’ll find a mezzanine double bed, with views across the treetops creating a blissful place to lay your head. When the canopy is in full bloom, the gentle breeze through the leaves is the dreamiest of soundtracks to send you off to sleep. The treehouse is fully insulated, with double-glazed windows ensuring you are warm and cosy in all seasons.
When fresh coffee calls, it’s a short stroll through the woodland to the communal kitchen where you’ll find everything you need for your stay, including running water and sockets to charge your electricals. Cook with the two gas burners or take the cast iron pots and pans back to your treehouse and cook fireside and fully immerse yourself in outdoor living, before gathering around the shared dining table in the alfresco dining area to swap stories as you feast together beneath the towering remnants of Cornwall’s mining heritage. A selection of herbal teas and Yallah Coffee is available throughout your stay, or you can order a breakfast hamper to make your morning extra special. There are also Yeti coolers that you can take to your treetop hideaway to keep your supplies fresh. Alternatively, you can use the shared fridges. Alongside the spacious kitchen and lounge area, the reception is home to a small shop where you can pick up local beers, toiletries, and even some Kudhva clothing so you can keep the #Kudvibes going even after your stay. You’ll find the flushing toilets and hot showers with Reia body wash and land&water shampoo and conditioner within this area too.
Outdoors
Set within an abandoned slate quarry in North Cornwall and home to two very friendly goats, Kudhva is the perfect place to slow down and align with the steady rhythm of the natural world. Nestled beneath your treetop escape, a tranquil seating area welcomes you to sit in the quiet of the woodland as the firepit crackles before you. Reden is a wonderful place to enjoy forest bathing as the whisper of shifting ferns and swaying branches fill the air and dappled light dances through the leaves to cast the forest floor in a sparkling display. Continue your reverie with a soothing dip in the steaming waters of the standing wood-fired hot tub where you can book a private hour time slot. With views across the Atlantic in the day and glittering stars on a clear evening, be cast away from the everyday as you ease into the relaxing depths of the tub, with Epsom salts for added health benefits. For a slice of adventure, embark on the short walk to the Kudhva Waterfall, which hides deep in the woodland and promises a secluded spot to marvel at the magic of nature. The spring-fresh waters thunder down a 40ft drop, which is at its most spectacular after heavy rainfall. The water flows into an arcadian lake, which is home to several microhabitats and plants, including watermint. A wooden pontoon beckons to water lovers and can be enjoyed where it floats, or you can row it across to the eastern bank before returning it to its moor.

With the wild and rugged North Cornish coast on your doorstep, you can explore every salt-kissed corner, from dramatic oceanside walks to some of Cornwall’s most fascinating landmarks. Nearby, the spiritual oasis at St Nectans Glen is a popular spot for anyone seeking enchanting adventure. Stroll through ancient woodland as you ponder tales of fairies and piskies, before pausing by the sacred depths of the waterfall to make a wish or take a moment of mindfulness.
