I recently stayed in the Woodsman and the property and surrounding areas were absolutely stunning.
The Lodge was exactly as described, the hampers were lovely and all the little Easter decorations were a cute touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and stargazing in the wood fired hot tub was a phenomenal experience. Tabitha was beyond helpful as well, and was always on hand to provide any information or support I needed. Thankyou for a lovely stay, I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our NYE stay at The Woodsman, it is a very special place. Contact with Louise was quick and efficient, checking in was simple, we pre booked breakfast and raclette hampers which were wonderful.
Wooden Christmas decorations felt festive and in keeping, the place was well equipped and comfortable. Location was lovely, we walked to the local pub and a short drive into Eccleshall was well worth it. The wood fired hot tub was such a treat in the -5 frosty conditions and perfect for watching the winter sunset. Thank you!

Absolutely perfect, gorgeous location and great cabins. We go away every year between Christmas and New Year for my birthday, and this place absolutely exceeded expectations. Tabitha and Steve are lovely people, very friendly and helpful. The site is clean, with plenty to do locally, and it was great to wake up each morning and see the sheep, chickens and horses. Can't recommend it enough. The hot tub was fantastic and the location is so quiet!

What an amazing place! beautiful, peaceful surroundings, perfect for escaping the normal busy life! We loved the hens, sheep, and horses being so close, and the little veg patch was great! We picked some raspberries and apples from the orchard that were delicious! I would also recommend the local pub that's a short walk down the lanes, we enjoyed a pint in the beer garden and fantastic steak meal on grill night at a very reasonable price! We really loved our little escape to the country! Thank you all!

We cannot praise our stay at The Woodsman enough and had a lovely week over New Years at Copper Beech Glamping. The Cabin is incredibly cosy, modern in its structure and facilities with a classic wooden aesthetic and very warm too. We had a couple of -3°C nights and were perfectly comfortable with the log burner and heating. Tabitha and Steve were excellent hosts, quick to answer any queries and very generous with wood and kindling, we really cant thank them enough. The wood fire hot tub was a real highlight, easy to use and with beautiful views over the farmland, we particularly enjoyed a night-time dip stargazing! We were looking for a relaxing break away from hectic London and The woodsman ticked every box, we were very sad to leave!
Some activity recommendations:
- We walked the Tolkien Trail at Cannock Chase on New Years Day - beautiful scenery, fantastic walks and lots of deer! Only 30 minute drive from the cabin.
- From the cabin there is a lovely walk around Loynton Moss and down the canal to the pub at Norbury Junction to watch the narrow boats boats go by with a pint.
- The Cock Inn in Woodseaves was a really cosy pub with good beers - sadly ran out of time to eat there but menu looked great!

Good morning!
Can I say a big thank you to you for providing such a lovely place to stay in an absolutely stunning area. We have enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was my wife’s Kristie’s 50th birthday so I wanted to bring her away to celebrate. We arrived quite late on Friday as we had to drop kids off at grandparents etc but straight away we were taken aback with the setting and all the little touches that you provided - especially the Christmas decorations.
Saturday we went for a walk down to the canal across some very muddy fields and in the afternoon went into Stoke to check out some of the numerous pottery places.
Finally yesterday we spent the day at Trentham Gardens as Kristie wanted to hunt out the fairies ??. We managed to find 15/21 without the guide ??
All good things must come to an end so
today unfortunately it’s back to real life…
Thanks again for a lovely weekend it has been magical, and this morning I found myself eyeing up the ‘Potting Shed’…..
We both hope that you and your family have a lovely Christmas and fantastic new year. Xx

Such a lovely escape away from the world. The hut is a lovely place to be, with nice walks in the area. Hot tub is one of the best we've used and the provision of logs for it and the wood burner ensures you'll never be cold

Perfect location, lovely market towns nearby, very well kept property and thoughtful hosts. BBQ and breakfasts packs were amazing! They genuinely have thought of everything, the only comment I’d make is pictures lead you to believe it’s totally secluded but there’s two other small dwellings to rent in a smallish field. Perfect if you were to go with other couples

The Woodsman exceeded our expectations and the hosts, Tabitha and Stephen were so helpful and very generous with the extras in the property. The Woodsman was decorated for autumn with fabulous autumnal touches throughout. The hot tub was a lovely perk and on our last night the stars viewed from the tub were amazing. Being on a farm, it was great watching the sheep being rounded up and fed in the mornings.
Location wise: we walked to the Loyton Moss, Norbury Junction and a few halls (about 6 mile round trip) Dorve to Newport, Eccelshall and The RAF museum at Cosford.
Our stay was perfect and would love to return!

We had an incredible, relaxing stay at the Woodsman. The cottage was well appointed, had everything we needed and lots of thoughtful touches. The wood-fired hot tub was a particular highlight. The property was just beautiful and the added touches the hosts left, such as a welcome tray with biscuits and hot chocolate was so thoughtful.
The location is perfect to unwind and disconnect and being able to pick vegetables from the patch and use the bikes to explore the local area was wonderful.
We’d highly recommend The Woodsman to anyone.
