Overview

This quaint cabin has been thoughtfully crafted with comfort in mind. Glorious wildflowers compliment its unspoilt surroundings and the al fresco bath tub turns daydreams to reality. After a day of exploring the area, pour a glass of your favourite and sink into the heavenly tub. The interior is utterly lovely, designed for two and complete with a wood burner to keep you warm and cosy during the winter months. The Potting Shed is simply perfect for a relaxing retreat back to nature, filled with an abundance of charm and beauty.

Step Inside

Step inside your humble abode and be greeted with the cutest open-plan living space. There's a rustic charm to this heavenly hideaway that will offer you the warmest welcome. Snuggle up beside the wood-burner and enjoy a relaxing evening with that special someone. The kitchen is simple, complete with an electric two ring hob, there is even a small oven compartment within the top of the wood-burner to cook up an intimate meal for two. The lovely owners will provide fresh eggs free of charge from their on-site hens and guests are welcome to help themselves to fruit, veg and herbs from the vegetable patch. After indulging, head up the steps to the raised double bed. It is tucked away at the top of the cabin and provides the cosiest night's sleep. You will also find a beautifully presented shower-room, perfect for freshening up after a day of exploring your natural surroundings.

Outdoors

The outdoor space is simply magical. By day, the veranda makes for the most idyllic spot to soak up the sunshine and delve into your favourite book. By night, take a dip in the al fresco bath tub with a glass of bubbles and let your worries simply fade away. There is also a rustic chiminea-style barbecue to enjoy dining under the stars. Breakfast and barbecue hampers are available to pre order with the owners, everything is produced on the farm where possible or from a local award-winning butcher… What a delicious holiday treat! The surrounding outdoor area offers views of lush greenery and beautiful flowers. Don’t forget to say hello to your friendly sheep neighbours during your stay and embrace this true glamping experience.

Eco-features

If you are looking for an eco-friendly getaway, The Potting Shed is the hideaway for you. The surrounding wildflower meadow and native hedging plants have been chosen to attract pollinators, as well as a ‘long grass’ policy throughout Spring and Summer. For lovers of wildlife, there are bird feeding stations, an insect hotel, hedgehog house and bee feeding station.

Items have been supplied to guests in refillable bottles where possible and all cleaning products are eco-friendly supplied by a local plastic free shop, Roots Larder. Guests are encouraged to use pedal power to explore the beautiful local area, the owners kindly offer free to borrow bikes for your use.

When possible, solar panels are used to supply electricity to the hideaway and rainwater is harvested to water the plants on site. The Potting Shed is the perfect sustainable retreat!

Explore

If you wish to venture from your dreamy hideaway, there is plenty of surrounding natural beauty to explore. Just around the corner is Loynton Moss Nature Reserve which boasts a rich, diverse wetland attracting numerous insect and bird species. If you are visiting in Spring, you will be greeted with the vibrant colour of bluebells and stitchwort. For more wildlife walks head to Trentham Gardens and discover award-winning scenery, unspoilt woodland and a unique shopping village. Slightly further afield is one of England’s finest landscapes, Cannock Chase. With stunning woodland, it offers an array of walking and cycling routes.

Located on the beautiful Shropshire Union Canal, you will find Norbury Wharf, home to an array of narrow boats. It is a lovely marina and boatyard, offering day boat hire for those who wish to try something new. For independent shops, fine restaurants and charming boutiques take a trip to Eccleshall village or stop off at the gorgeous stately home, Weston Park. After a day full of adventures, you can head back to your peaceful haven and enjoy a romantic evening for two.

Extra Information

There are two other hideaways onsite, Shepherd's View (5111) and The Woodsman (5110) . The whole site is called Copper Beech Glamping and is perfectly set up for the dreamiest retreat to nature. All hideaways are positioned in a way that they have plenty of privacy from one another.

Please note all logs for the wood-burner, hot tub and outdoor stove are generously supplied by the owner as well as charcoal for the barbecue.

The bed is raised at the top of the cabin in a loft space, which you access via wooden steps. Unfortunately, this is not suitable for those with limited access or mobility.

There are two other hideaways onsite, The Woodsman and Shepherd's View. All hideaways are positioned in a way that they have plenty of privacy from one another.

Availability, reservations and pricing: £98 - £130 per night

Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There are no extra charges for cots or high chairs where they are listed in the property description on the website.

A non-refundable booking fee of £35.00 is payable per booking.
