Unique Hideaways joins SAS at the Million Mile Clean

At its heart, Surfers Against Sewage’s Million Mile Clean is all about bringing people together for a shared cause - a nationwide movement uniting volunteers to protect our outdoor spaces from plastic pollution.
Recently, the Unique Hideaways team headed to Perranporth Beach in Cornwall to take part in the latest clean. Despite the blustery Cornish weather, spirits were high as we set off along the sand, litter pickers in hand. But this was about more than just collecting rubbish; it was a chance to meet fellow Ocean Network members, connect with local businesses, and swap ideas with others who are passionate about protecting our coastline.
As proud members of the SAS Ocean Network since 2019, we’re committed to supporting their incredible work year-round. During the clean, we also joined in the Brand Audit, a brilliant way to track which companies are behind the plastic we find. From drink bottles to sweet wrappers, every item we log adds to their growing database that helps SAS hold major polluters accountable and push for real change.
