Overview
Step Inside
‘Round, rare, precious, and nestled in woodland’, Hush is affectionately known as a truffle. Handcrafted and totally captivating, its Scandinavian-inspired structure and design are instantly calming, inviting you to leave the everyday behind as you relax into the open-plan space. The wooden ark and matching arching windows complement the truffle’s setting, as the outdoors flows seamlessly throughout its earthy palette and breathtaking surrounds. In the centre of the cabin, you’ll find a sumptuous double bed laden with luxurious linens, with low lighting on each side to create a soothing ambience. A hammock with cushions and blankets sits to the left and awaits leisurely hours spent admiring the scenes beyond the window, along with a bean bag seat and wood burner to keep the cabin cosy in all seasons. To the right, a wooden table and handcrafted chairs are framed by views of glossy trees, making the perfect backdrop for your morning coffee or nightcap before sinking into slumber.
Outdoors
Enveloped by towering trees, Hush is the perfect place to reap the benefits of the forest. Each season brings its own beauty for you to admire, from the vibrant hues of green in spring to the warm copper tones in autumn, setting an idyllic scene for your restorative escape. Let your surroundings wash over you as you sway gently in the hammock woven between the trees, and savour moments around the fire pit. The undercover kitchen-diner nestled next to your truffle features a wood-fired pizza oven, barbecue, gas stove, kettle, cafetiere, and selection of accoutrements for cooking delicious dishes, with a picnic bench and additional seats for dining and relaxing outdoors. To taste your way through some of Devon’s delicious produce, a variety of food hampers can be ordered in advance from the owners. Within the main cabin, located at the entrance of Honeydown and just a short walk from your truffle, you have access to a designated kitchen for Hush, complete with a sink and fridge, as well as a personal shower room complete with a WC and sink.
