Whip up delicious feasts in the sleek kitchen, with a combination microwave oven, two-ring induction hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. Gather around the beautiful table for romantic dinners and family breakfasts, fuelling everyone for a day exploring South Devon’s gorgeous landscapes and picture-perfect villages.
The bedroom has been cleverly designed to fit a sumptuous king size bed and bunk beds, perfect for families looking to escape to the country. Snug bedding and rich tones create the perfect setting for a blissful night’s sleep. A cabinet separates the beds and offers a place to store your belongings during your stay, while a lovely window frames glimpses of the day ahead. The shower room sits at the other end of the shepherd’s hut and boasts a wonderful rainfall shower, toilet, and sink.

The outside space is utterly enchanting, from the quirky wood fence that lines the alfresco dining area to the winding path down to the fire pit. Sink into the warming depths of the wood-fired hot tub and bathe beneath a starlit sky, or sit back and slip into a rural reverie in one of the comfy sun loungers as the wind rustles through the leaves and birds sing in the distance. One of the biggest draws to The Dell is its location. A stone’s throw from the coast and with some of Devon’s top walking routes on your doorstep, this pocket of paradise invites you to fall head over heels with the varying landscapes of South Devon. Walk the bridle path to Slapton Sands, passing through Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve as you go, for a mile of golden sand to explore and a myriad of birds to spot. Further along the coast, the breathtaking beach at Blackpool Sands invites you to step into a tree-lined haven as you uncover sun-warmed sands and azure waters, all backed by dappled woodland. If it’s walking you’re interested in, Dartmoor National Park boasts a variety of trails, from easy paths through heather-topped moors to popular climbs up the many tors that promise sweeping views from the top. With the South Hams on your doorstep, beautiful countryside strolls are always on the menu, whether you dream of following the gently flowing waters of the River Dart or walking across the undulating hills, stopping off in South Devon’s pretty villages as you go.

A short five-minute drive from your hideaway will reward you with the welcoming pub The Start Bay Inn. Famous for its fish and chips and sea views, it’s the perfect place to refuel during your stay.

The Dell is situated on a campsite which is open from the 1st April- 31st October. Please note the shepherd's hut is in it's own private area, but you may still see and hear other guests during your stay.
The Dell is part of The Greener Camping Club. A small £12 membership fee is included in the price of your booking. Upon arrival the owner will need to take one email address to share with The Greener Camping Club.
A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
