Fringed with history, the layout allows your day to flow with complete ease, as every corner has been carefully considered to utilise the space to its full potential. The quaint kitchen allows you to prep romantic meals, while the handcrafted breakfast bar is the dream spot to sit and sip your morning coffee and indulge in a fresh pastry. The cosy sofa is the perfect place to rest after a day of adventure and unwind with your favourite drink. You’ll find a beautiful image of nearby Tixhall Estate on the wall, which cleverly turns into a smart TV. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure you have a dreamy stay.

Climb the winding stairs to find your sumptuous bedroom beneath the beams. Dressed in soft linens, the double bed promises a restful night's sleep. To the right of the bed sits the sleek shower and stylish stone basin. There is so much to see and do nearby, including Shugborough Estate, a National Trust site with ancient woodland, sweeping parkland, and manicured gardens to explore, as well as a café and Georgian Mansion. Cannock Chase is within easy reach, a protected National Landscape covering 26 square miles of scenic heathland, pine forests and glacial valleys. Look out for diverse wildlife, such as fallow deer, while you explore this picturesque corner of the UK. For easy access and flat walks, visit Tixall Wide, a popular spot to take a stroll and watch the narrowboats come and go. You are also under an hour away from the magnificent Peak District, so if you seek a day of adventure, pop on your walking boots, pack a picnic and get ready to experience truly spectacular scenery.

For places to eat, you are spoilt for choice. The Orangery is a beautifully restored 1840s building within Ingester Parkland. The café and bar are open twice a week, serving delicious coffees and refreshing pints, and you’ll find seasonal events run throughout the year. For pubs with heart, take a look at The Clifford Arms or The Wolsely Arms. Both serve Sunday lunch and wholesome home-cooked meals.

Please note that a public bridleway runs through Bottle Lodge’s garden, so when sitting outside you may encounter an explorer passing by occasionally.
