The gorgeous wood-clad interiors invite you in with a warm welcome, while splashes of green and white furnishings craft a bright and relaxing space. The sumptuous king-sized bed sits opposite the large double doors, promising wonderfully slow mornings sitting in bed watching the world outside wake. The ensuite bathroom features gorgeous finishing touches, with soft green panelling and fern-print tiles accenting the rainfall shower.
Outdoors
A wooden deck wraps around the cabin, offering a spellbinding spot to relax and soak up your serene setting. Lit by festoon lighting, the covered decking invites you to step into the bubbling depths of the hot tub after a day’s explorations, a glass of something special in hand, while the onsite spa invites you to continue your reverie as you indulge in a soothing massage or facial (one free treatment per booking to be arranged direct with the owner).
The gas-powered barbeque promises ambrosial evenings cooking and dining beneath the stars, with the wicker garden furniture adding even more luxury to the space, whether you wish to sip a refreshing sundowner or stargaze by the fire pit while toasting marshmallows.
Explore
When you can bear to tear yourself away from your pocket oasis, you’ll be instantly met with the mesmerising countryside Norfolk is famed for. The charming market town of Beccles is only a few miles away and boasts winding streets lined with independent shops and pretty river walks that skirt the flowing waters of River Waveney. A little further, you’ll find yourself in the bustling, historic city of Norwich, where you can explore Michelin star dining and some of the county’s most fascinating landmarks, including the cathedral and castle.
Inviting you to swap vibrant streets for rich landscapes, the Norfolk Broads are wonderfully close and offer a medley of things to see and do in the fresh, Norfolk air. Follow the many designated paths on foot, or book a boat trip for wildlife-watching opportunities around every leaf-strewn corner. A stone’s throw from the coast, Laurel Lodge is just as well placed for sun-kissed days on the beach. Soak up your coastal surrounds at Winterton-on-Sea, full of tufted dunes and powdery sand.
Peppering the beautiful countryside, Norfolk and Suffolk’s pubs are a welcoming haven of warmth and good food. A short drive from Laurel Lodge, The Locks Inn promises a friendly atmosphere and hearty menu full of pub favourites and delicious Sunday roasts. In nearby Bungay, The Fleece Inn beckons with a charming Tudor exterior combined with a warren of cosy snugs inside, ensuring your visit is wonderfully memorable.
