Nestled between Dartmoor National Park and the rolling vistas of the Tamar Valley, Olive beckons to those wishing to sink into an untouched setting full of sprawling scenes and cosy corners. Spend your days exploring the gorgeous countryside that wraps around this rural retreat, before retracing your steps back to your enchanting hideout where starlit soaks by the fire await.

Step Inside

A place of utter tranquillity and with a name symbolising peace, Olive invites you to unwind the moment you arrive. An open-plan living area is the first to greet you as you step through the door, with gorgeous interiors promising a relaxing stay. Light the wood burner and sink into the sumptuous sofa after a day of exploring or cook up a delicious feast in the perfectly kitted-out kitchen area, complete with a two-ring ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge with small icebox, kettle, and toaster. When the temperature dips outside, make yourself an indulgent hot chocolate with the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser and complimentary sachets, a dreamy addition to any evening by the fire.

At one end of the hut, a cosy king size bed awaits with plush pillows that promise a deep and restful slumber and windows that look out over the idyllic meadow beyond. Take your morning coffee back to bed and watch sheep graze between the trees. A sleek bathroom sits at the other end of your rural hideaway with a toilet, sink, and shower.

Outdoors

Set in a beautiful meadow surrounded by trees, an oasis of seclusion awaits at Olive. Fall in love with the indulgent wood-fired bathtub as you sink into the soul-soothing depths for a moment of utter tranquillity amidst the rustle of leaves or delve into your favourite book as your cares drift away on the breeze. Enjoy alfresco dining in your pocket paradise, from morning coffee at the pretty outdoor dining table to barbequed feasts and toasted marshmallows on the flickering firepit.

Surrounded by a sprawling patchwork of beautiful farmland, it won’t be long until the draw of dappled walks pulls you from your rural reverie. Stepping into your walking boots, take the path less travelled as you uncover pretty fields and sun-kissed corners, passing the three friendly sheep that live in the meadow as you go (you’re invited to leave your guesses for their names in the guest book).
