The king size bed boasts White Company Egyptian cotton linens for a night of deep and restful sleep, while a window at the foot of the bed promises slow-moving mornings watching the meadow come to life as you sip your freshly brewed coffee. At the other end of the shepherd’s hut, you’ll find a bathroom with a rainfall shower, toilet, and heated towel rail, with beautiful Fired Earth tiles in warm, sandy tones.
Outdoors
Surrounded by dappled trees and long, swaying grass, Aurora enjoys a rather special setting, with features to match. Promising alfresco dining at every opportunity, a wooden outdoor dining area invites you to enjoy your meals in the fresh, country air as your gaze sweeps over the secluded meadow. Light the barbeque for delicious meals and toast marshmallows over the fire pit as stars light the sky above. Harvest herbs and salads from your very own potager garden or order a wonderful local veggie box, meat box or picnic hamper for your stay, directly through the owner, prior to arrival.
Festoon lighting and lanterns line your little corner of paradise, while a dreamy alfresco bathtub allows you to sit back and soak up the paradisical surrounds as birds sing in the trees and tawny owls hoot in the distance. An outdoor rainfall shower beckons for refreshing moments after exploring the surrounding countryside, while Adirondack chairs invite you to sit and unwind as the flower-dotted meadow revives your senses. The hideaway also offers the chance to relax in the double hammock.

Aurora is a luxury shepherd's hut in a glorious setting. The hut had everything you could need, was spotlessly clean, with quality equipment and accessories. All the little extra treats had been thoughtfully chosen and were much appreciated. We had wonderful weather and loved all the outside comfy seating options, it was hard to leave it was so relaxing. The large bathtub had been warmed by the sun and was fab to lie in at the end of the day, gazing at the trees and the buzzards.
The hut is in a peaceful, secluded and idyllic location, the only noise was bird song and the occasional cow somewhere in the distance. It sits in a beautiful meadow, surrounded by trees, birds, dragon flies and wild flowers and has far reaching views of the hills. It felt like a very special and unique place to stay.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Aurora. If anything, it was even more beautiful and comfortable than the photographs suggested. The hut had everything we could possibly need. We especially loved the Nespresso machine with excellent coffee pods, and the incredibly comfortable bed. Sitting on the steps of the hut with coffee in hand, overlooking the field and listening to the birds, was so special.
The hosts struck the perfect balance, being both welcoming and available if needed, yet giving us plenty of space to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Evenings by the fire pit, with logs generously supplied, were a wonderful way to end the day. A real highlight was soaking in the wood-fired bath under the stars, listening to tawny owls calling to each other; an experience we’ll treasure for a long time.
Our time at Aurora was the perfect antidote to the busyness of inner-city London life. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you for making it so special.

We wanted a quiet romantic getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our long weekend at Aurora was everything we'd hoped for and more. The quality of the facilities and decor are an exceptionally high standard. Wonderfully private location set in a beautiful wild meadow - the woodfired tub was easy to use and made for a couple of very special evenings star gazing and listening to the sounds of nature. We hope to return soon and 100% recommend.

We had the most amazing time staying at Aurora! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention to detail had gone into creating such a special space. Everything was beautifully thought through, from the cosy interiors to the little finishing touches that made it feel extra special.
The setting was incredibly peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for to unwind and switch off. It felt like our own private retreat, surrounded by nature and far away from the noise of everyday life.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, ‘away from anyone’ and special getaway.

Our stay at Aurora for our 3rd wedding anniversary was nothing short of perfect.
Our host Marcelle was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
The hut and facilities were immaculate and she has thought of everything, even down to the little festival trolley to save you having to carry all your stuff from your car!
The log fire, BBQ, open fire, wood fired bath are all an experience in themselves, but nothing tops the location of this hut. In a meadow all to yourselves we had exactly what we wanted. It was so difficult to find somewhere where there weren't 3 or 4 cabins situated close together, and then we found Aurora! A place to completely shut off from the world, apart from a small venture to the local pub for a Sunday roast we didn't see a soul all weekend and that's just how we wanted it. Peace and quiet are in abundance here!
I can't stress how private and secluded this hut is, it's absolutely fantastic. The meadow is gorgeous and hosts deer, pheasants and other wildlife. We loved our morning and evening walk around the cut path of the meadow. You have a small bridge over a stream at the bottom of the field, as well as direct access to a footpath and the evening sunsets are to die for.
I honestly could have locked myself away here and never left.
We also opted to buy the picnic hamper through Marcelle which was gorgeous! Kept us going all weekend!
The hut itself is beautiful. It's so well laid out and kept so immaculate it felt as though we were the first people to ever use it!
The outdoor seating is so well thought out and we had every meal outside, come rain or shine, made possible due to the fantastic layout and canopy area. I could go on and on about anything and everything that was provided. You don't need to take a single thing with you , it's all there!
The hot outdoor shower was fabulous, and the wood fired bath was wonderful especially when the sun went down and it got chilly out.
The sun streaming in through the bedroom window in the morning (we liked to leave the shutters open), the oranges Marcelle kindly provided for us to use in the juice press, the lovely little treats (I'm obsessed with her chocolate tiffin and have looked up how to make it myself!), I couldn't have dreamed up something more perfect.
I suppose the only thing left to say is thank you Marcelle, our perfect weekend away is testament to the work and care you have put in to Aurora.

The owners were lovely, the hut was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and the outdoor space was fantastic. We had a lovely time sitting by the fire in the evening, watching the deer in the field, and exploring the local area. The local produce that they left for us was a lovely touch, including drinks, fresh milk, marshmallows, chocolates, and fresh oranges to make juice in the press.

This is the most incredible Sheppard’s hut I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. Before arriving we were already in contact with the host who was attentive to any special requests we might have had. When arriving we were greeted by Marcelle, our lovely host. Marcelle gave us a tour of the Sheppard’s hut and surrounding area which we were free to explore throughout our visit. Our hot bath was already fired up and at temperature for us to enjoy straight away. My first thoughts were ‘wow! This place is beautiful!’ And we never stopped saying it! The decor and furnishings inside and out were exceptional, the farmhouse modern interior was so beautifully captured. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was so soft! We were given plenty of towels for our stay and the electric towel warmer was such a nice touch! We had choice for seating - lounging in the egg chair, having a cup of tea at the patio table, warming up by the fire pit and even in the sheltered outdoor kitchen/ dining. We had plenty of logs for both the fire pit and hot bath for our two night stay. Apologies for going on, but I could honestly talk about this place until the cows came home! Thank you again Marcelle, we cannot wait to return!!
