Step Inside

Nestled in a beautiful patch of ancient oak trees, Ty Coedwig, which means forest house in Welsh, welcomes you to shed the humdrum of everyday life as you ease into your peaceful stay in Powys. From the wooden walkway lined with twinkling lights to the slide that slopes to the ground from the balcony, you're invited to step into a world laced with wonder as you embrace life in the canopy. The handcrafted hideaway, which is suspended above the ground on stilts, promises a magical stay in the treetops. As you enter the bewitching treehouse, you'll be met with a gorgeous open-plan space. Starting in the kitchen, a wonderful blend of rustic charm invites you to whip up your favourite creations, with everything you need at your fingertips including an oven, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Pause at the wooden breakfast bar with a fresh-out-the-oven croissant, seat yourselves at the glass table for a relaxed lunch for two or take your feast onto the decking for a spot of alfresco dining under the dappled light of the trees.

The living area invites the woodland in, with gorgeous nature inspired colours crafting a cosy place to spend an evening, especially with the toasty underfloor heating on. Beautiful books, maps and pictures adorn the walls and shelves, drawing the eye around the room. Curl up in the chair with a good book or sink into the Chesterfield sofa for an evening of relaxing in front of the smart TV. A set of French doors open wide onto the decking, where a table for two promises idyllic moments surrounded by the soft songs of nature.

For the bedroom, step through a pair of double sliding doors to find yourself a room with beautiful wood, vaulted ceilings and a sumptuous king size bed. Large, double windows look out through the trees, while little finishing touches fill the room with warmth and charm. Draw the pretty curtains for a deeply restorative sleep or throw open the windows to welcome in the fresh, morning air, before bringing your coffee into bed for a deliciously slow start to the day.

In the luxurious shower room, double sinks and double showers invite you to unwind from the day, while a heated towel rail keeps your towels warm and fluffy. The room is decorated in a vibrant peacock blue, with lit mirrors above the sinks and a lovely wooden counter with plenty of space for all your toiletries. A large window, which runs almost from floor to ceiling, creates a wonderful focal point while filling the room with dappled sunlight.

Outdoors

Surrounded by peaceful woodland, Ty Coedwig invites you to make the most of the idyllic setting with numerous tranquil spots to enjoy. From the treehouse's living area, step onto the balcony decking for a sundowner amidst the trees and twinkling lights or take the slide, which runs from the decking to the forest floor, and explore the hideaway's other heavenly spaces. Follow the wooden walkway to a dreamy outdoor bathtub, where you can sit back and soak up the serene sounds of birds singing and leaves rustling overhead. Back on the ground, a clearing lined with wood chippings boasts two charming log benches and a fire pit barbecue. Toast marshmallows over the dancing flames as cows graze in the field next door and you feel the outside world melt away. An enchanting wooden swing hangs nearby, encouraging you to embrace the joys of childhood once more.
