Loved our stay at the Surf Shack. Small but cosy and comfortable; very well equipped kitchen. Perfect location and the views were amazing. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets and strolls along the beach. Highly recommend.

We were disappointed with the size of this property. The bathroom is directly opposite the tiny kitchen. The sink in the bathroom was so small you could not even wash your hands in it nevermind wash your face. There was a mirror above the sink which stuck out over the sink restricting the use of the sink even more. The "kitchen" had no storage for anything you brought with you, there was a black corner shelf but this was used for cups and glasses. There was no microwave as stated in the facilities. The living area was tiny with a large sofa......which is far to big.......and a large double bed. The bed is right up against the side so the person on that side cannot get out without climbing over thier partner. There is a basic hang rail for clothes at the end of the bed but this is useless as it's jammed against the bed and difficult to use.
You cannot practically use the oven and make a meal due to the size and space. The view from the window is nice but only when standing up. There is nowhere to change after having a shower apart from in the tiny space in the living / bed room. We also felt that there is no mention of how steep it is to walk down to the beach. There are around over 70 steep steps that lead down to the front or you can go a longer way, via a public path that is very steep going down so going back up is not an option. We are very active but found the steps a tall order after a few journeys. Parking is an issue so you have to park along the lane and walk the rest. Overall this property needs a redesign to make maximum use of the limited space. We believe is not big enough for 2 people and a pet. The furniture / bed are outdated and the owner really needs to stay in this porta cabin to understand what we are highlighting, as I do not think this has been done. We paid nearly £1000 for a week, we left 2 days early due to how small it was. Anyone who is tall will hit their head on the door frame leading into the living / bed room. We feel the description does not give the true account of how small this cabin is.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Surf Shack - small but perfectly formed with amazing views! No trouble at all parking. Wonderful to sleep with the sound of the sea! Had everything we needed for our stay and I would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful setting. The views really are something especially at sunset.
Cabin was cosy & comfortable with everything you need. Kitchen very well fitted out.
Be mindful there are many many steps to get to the beach/Sennen Cove from the property so this is definately not for people with mobility issues.

Fantastic location and lovely spot, close to beaches and snorkeling spots. Accommodation was really clean, only downside is that parking is a bit of a faff.

We loved everything about the Surf Shack! The place was easy to find with the directions we were given, it is a beautiful little haven, very comfortable and convenient. It also felt very private. We loved sleeping with the sound of the ocean. Everything was small (except for the bed!!) but nothing felt too small. The kitchen was better equipped than any other place we've booked over the last 10 years. We were happy to go down to the beach every day and happy to climb back up to our little nest every night.
A very special thanks to Julie at customer service. We had a question upon arrival and it was so nice to be able to talk on the phone with a real, professional, warm and kind person. It was our first time with Classic Cottages and thought it was a really good choice. We will definitely be back at the Surf Shack and will most likely be browsing on Classic Cottages again.
Thank you very much everyone!

Beautifully fitted out like a Tardis and in a lovely spot with beautiful views, the Surf Shack was perfect for our short break

July 2024
Stayed here in July, the shack was just as described and although small space was cleverly used and very comfortable. The location was second to none with a short walk (via very steep steps) down to the harbour. The view from the shack was idilic and although close to the main town was very quiet. I was concerned regarding parking when booking this in mid summer but this was not a problem at all and there is plenty of parking in a quiet location very close by. This property by far exceeded my expectations
