In keeping with its beautifully rural surroundings, verdant and pine interiors fill the hideaway and pretty botanicals make you feel at home. To the left, sits the sumptuous double bed, complete with a porthole window, positioned perfectly for admiring the view. Enjoy a slow morning here, watching the natural world go by. The lovely kitchen area is superbly equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay. Including; one ring electric hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. There is a cute dining area too, perfect for enjoying a scrumptious breakfast or romantic evening meal. You’ll love lighting the wood-burner on cooler evenings as the flickering flames are sure to keep you nice and toasty. The stylish shower-room provides the perfect place to freshen up after a seaside adventure or rambling countryside walk. You are sure to feel well-rested and content after a stay at The Hillside Hut.

Should you decide to explore the local area, you will be spoiled for choice for things to see and do. Situated in a small rural hamlet, The Hillside Hut is in the perfect location for exploring south Cornwall. There are some amazing walks through the surrounding woodland which takes you to the Deer Park forest, or a little further afield to the bustling seaside town of Looe. Looe offers a lovely beach and plenty of restaurants and of course fish and chip takeaways! The Plough in Duloe is a short distance from the hut, serving delicious locally sourced food in a relaxed setting. Just a short drive away, you will find the pretty harbourside village of Polperro, packed full of character and Cornish charm.
Offering a complete contrast in scenery, a trip to Bodmin Moor is a must. Its dramatic landscape is breathtaking with amazing rock formations and ancient tin mines. On the edge of Bodmin Moor, you will find the town of Liskeard, offering a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, with a market every second Saturday of the month. To find out more about Cornwall’s history visit the National Trust estate of Lanhydrock, boasting glorious gardens, parkland and a great network of cycling and walking trails. Cardinham Woods is also a great spot for lovers of the outdoors! Or visit Golitha Falls for spectacular waterfalls through ancient oak woodland. Alternatively, head to the coast and spend a day at the picturesque Fowey, offering the most gorgeous scenery, lovely independent shops and charming eateries.
