Meanwhile, the upstairs mezzanine floor, reached via a step ladder, features three single beds perfect for children. To refresh, make use of the beautiful, curved shower room with its gorgeous, bespoke tiles and clear dome ceiling for the impression of showering under open skies. Or, step into one of the two outdoor side-by-side baths and recline in bubble-topped waters with a view of the open ocean.

Outdoors

The outdoor living spaces of Stargazers’ Retreat are a real treat to enjoy from the first hazy hues of dawn to the silvery starlight of night. Warmed by the island’s temperate microclimate and topped by some of the best skies in the UK for stargazing, you can make the most of its tree and flower-garlanded spaces throughout the day and night. Sit outside on the deck as the first morning rays crest the horizon with a steaming mug of coffee, before gathering around the outdoor table and chairs with a hearty breakfast spread. For chargrilled banquets fire up the barbecue in the semi-enclosed outdoor kitchen area, ready to tuck into flavour-packed feasts with a backdrop of glistening sea. Later, as night falls, snuggle up in a blanket and gaze up at the constellations from beneath cosy layers, or immerse in one of the two outdoor baths topped with bubbles to stargaze from soothingly warm waters.
