Outdoors
The outdoor space is just as lovely as the interiors of this Unique hideaway. There's so much unspoilt nature to be enjoyed with plenty of beautiful places to sit and watch the world go by. Such as the dreamy hammock, idyllic for reading that book that's been sat on your shelf for a while. However, our favourite feature has to be the blissful alfresco bathtub. How does this sound… after a day of adventures, return to your humble abode, turn the tap, pour yourself a glass of your favourite and sink into the bubbles? And there's even pretty festoon lighting around this magical area that creates the most enchanting setting. For those who love outdoor dining you are in for a treat, as there's a barbecue for you to use as well as a rustic fire pit area, ideal for toasting marshmallows under the starlit sky. We promise you, glamping in the wild never looked to good!
So, what gave this quirky cabin its name? The Bird Box is nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where the dawn chorus is quite simply breath-taking. On a golden spring morning you will be greeted by the cheerful tune of an abundance of songbirds. Woodpeckers, cuckoos, swallows, robins, nuthatch and blackbirds (who of course sing the prettiest tune) are just a few bird species that share your serene sanctuary.
The Bird Box is a fantastic hideaway to visit throughout the year with its cosy interiors and ever-changing surroundings. From spring, the garden turns to a mosaic of pastel blooms with daffodils and bluebells making their way above ground and later in the year the hydrangeas burst out of bud. Willow trees encircle the area as well as the picturesque kiwi tree that sits just behind the bathtub. This really is the most tranquil dreamland you could ever wish to whisk your loved one away too.
