Cabin in Cornwall: Welcome to the perfect hygge hideaway - calm and cosy, with nature right on your doorstep. Climb the stairs to the heavenly Tree Tops Cabin and experience perfect tranquillity.

General

Imagine being cocooned in your own perfect wood cabin, tucked among the treetops and listening to the gentle sound of birdsong, the stream burbling down below and the wind rustling through the leaves. Aaaaand… relax. You can switch off completely here, soothed by soft, neutral colours inside and pretty views of nature outside. The ideal getaway, Tree Tops Cabin is romantically rural, yet just a hop and skip away from the beach in the friendly Cornish fishing village of Cadgwith, with its welcoming pub serving great food. A real home-from-home, this thoughtfully designed, delightful retreat consists of a wood-panelled, open plan living-room, including a squishy sofa, toasty wood-burner and fabulous king-sized bed which faces the floor-to-ceiling windows, giving you a gorgeous view while you enjoy a lie-in (and maybe breakfast in bed). At one end of the cabin is a sweet little kitchen area that boasts a mini-oven with two-ring hob, cupboards, worktop and a fridge, kettle and toaster, as well as a bijou dining area for two. There's an en suite shower-room, complete with WC, wash-basin, shower and hot running water, plus even a heated towel rail, while the raised deck outside is just the spot in which to kick back, relax and read a book, sip a glass of wine or simply take a nap while enjoying the feeling of slowing down and recharging your batteries. If you need a local's advice or have any queries, the friendly owners live in the neighbouring cottage and are happy to help, but otherwise will respect your privacy.

Out and About

Tree Tops Cabin is situated in Cadgwith, one of the prettiest coastal villages on Cornwall's Lizard peninsula. You'll find whitewashed thatched cottages wandering down to a little beach, where working fisherman land lobster, crab, mackerel, shark and mullet, and boat trips are on offer. The village also boasts a restaurant, gift and craft shops and a 300-year-old pub, the Cadgwith Cove Inn, which serves delicious, locally sourced food. You might want to drop in for its live folk music on a Tuesday night, or traditional Cornish singing on a Friday. Also close by is Ruan Minor, where there's a useful convenience store and the Treleague Dairy farm shop, selling local cream, eggs and milk. When it comes to days out, you can stride onto the South West Coast Path for an invigorating walk and breathtaking views, drive to any number of gorgeous beaches, including Kennack Sands (a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that's great for both surfing and dog friendly), Kynance Cove and Poldhu Cove (try a luxury hot chocolate here!). Explore the village of Mullion, with smugglers' coves, shops, pubs and restaurants, the Lizard peninsula and the beautiful Helford River, or get active and try some surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding or windsurfing lessons (if you want to bring your own surfboards, kayaks or bikes etc, these can be stored under the cabin).
