Glamping pod in Cornwall: a beautiful wooden glamping pod in Mount's Bay, with heavenly views of the ocean and the iconic St Michael's Mount.

Overview

In the west of Cornwall, high above sea level in a stunning meadow, you’ll find this beautifully-built, luxury glamping pod for four. The views out to sea stretch all the way from the fishing village of Mousehole in the west to the Lizard Peninsula in the east, with the picturesque St Michael’s Mount directly ahead. It’s an ocean view that’s hard to beat. Enjoy breakfast on the deck before heading out for a day of wild swimming, walking the coast path and exploring Cornwall's hidden coves.

Step Inside

As soon as you step up onto the decking you’ll see that Coastal Gaze has been thoughtfully designed and built, with crafted wooden interiors framing a luxurious, relaxed, open plan living space. There’s plenty of room for four people, with a large sofa (that converts to a double bed), dining table and chairs, TV and kitchenette, fully-equipped with everything you need to prepare a picnic or evening meal - cooker, microwave, sink, fridge, toaster and kettle. At the back of the pod you’ll find a comfy double bed and an en suite shower room with a heated towel rail. Underfloor heating, double glazing and excellent insulation make this pod warm and comfortable all year round, so it’s as perfect for a wild winter escape as it is for a lazy summer break.

Outdoors

Outside, enjoy the tranquility whilst you settle in a chair with your morning coffee (or evening glass of wine) and gaze out to sea and the Mount, while fishing boats bob on the horizon. As the sun sets and the stars appear, light up the fire pit and gather round for a rustic barbecue, before tucking into bed feeling revitalised after a long day in the fresh coastal air. Coastal Gaze welcomes one dog, so if you’ve got a four-legged friend, they don’t have to miss out on the adventure!

Explore

If you can tear yourself away from the breathtaking views, there is so much beauty to discover across the west of Cornwall. One of the first places to visit has to be St Micheal's Mount. This magical island castle can be accessed by foot at low tide across the causeway and at high tide by boat, from Marazion beach. If lazy beach days are on your to do list, then you are spoilt for choice. With sunny St.Ives only a short drive away, as well as Hayle and its 3 miles of golden sandy beaches to be explored, you can enjoy plenty of salt kissed, sandy moments throughout your stay.

For the adventure seekers, visit Sennen Cove, Gwithian and Porthmeor for surf lessons. You can hire equipment here too. If you love outdoor swimming visit the art deco lido in Penzance and enjoy a salt water swim. There's even a thermal pool here, so you can take to the water even in the winter months. If you love walking, the southwest coast path is just waiting to be explored. Pack a picnic and don't forget your swimwear and towel as there are so many hidden coves to embrace a wild swim, along your coastal ramble. The 12-mile St Michael's Way footpath is one to be discovered and to celebrate your voyage, enjoy a refreshing pint at the White Hart inn in nearby Ludgvan, one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall and luckily only a short stroll away from your humble abode.

The magical Porthcurno isn't far away, so why not book into the famous Minack Theater and enjoy watching a show with the most stunning backdrop! Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens is only a ten minute walk from your glamping hideaway and is well worth a visit. These beautiful gardens boast exotic flora and fauna and the cafe, shop and onsite gallery are well worth a visit! Take time to wander the streets of Newlyn and enjoy some fresh seafood at Mackerel Sky or a cocktail and Tapas at Lovettes. Mousehole is the next village on from Newlyn, and is full of quaint shops and lovely eateries such as The Old Coastguard and The Rockpool. We told you, there is so much to discover across this pretty corner or Cornwall you might never want to leave!
