Countryside Cabin in Cornwall: Get perfectly cosy in this gorgeous glamping getaway for two. Total relaxation in a swish and swanky rural retreat. Did back to nature ever feel this good? We don't think so...
This cutie-pie cabin, hidden away in a secluded corner of the owners' smallholding, is an ideal spot for a bit of communing with nature. Wheel your luggage along the private, tree-lined path to the front door and you'll soon be watching the sun set or admiring the twinkling stars while toasting marshmallows on your very own fire-pit. The quiet outdoor seating area is perfect for reading, napping or - if you feel some culinary adventures coming on - enjoying a chilled-out barbecue. Explore the area at your leisure, or simply hunker down in your boutique hideaway. Either way, there's no rushing or stressing in this lovely corner of Cornwall - take your time and enjoy every moment. Light, bright and open plan, the inside of Cuddle Cabin is thoughtfully equipped with all mod-cons. The squishy L-shaped sofa is just right for a snuggle in front of the TV, while if you throw open the double doors you can stroll straight onto the pretty decked area outside. Breathe deep - the air is super-fresh! The kitchen has everything you need to do a Jamie or Nigella - built-in appliances, plenty of work-top and storage space and even a microwave - and there is ample room for a sit-down meal at the dining table. The luxurious bedroom (with an en suite dressing-room, no less!) also has doors that open straight out, leading to a lawned area where the owners' free-range chickens strut their stuff. To keep you toasty all year round there's a warming wood-burner and a pair of electric panel heaters, and if you feel the need to check in with the real world you'll find that WiFi is included, too. And the final treat? The fabulous shower-room, with its spacious shower, proper flushing loo and basin with hot and cold running water. There's even a heated towel rail. From the crisp cotton bed linen to the quirky artwork on the walls and the individual dressing gowns, Cuddle Cabin is beautifully designed down to the very last detail. It may have planked walls but this is definitely no traditional log cabin!
Out and About
You're in for a treat in this tucked-away yet fascinating part of the West Country. Constantine is a small village but it has a pub, convenience store, post office and craft gallery - plus (you'll never believe it), hidden behind the general stores, a huge independent wine merchant and whisky specialist. There are walks all around, while very nearby are both the scenic Helford River and the spectacular Lizard peninsula, both incredible areas to spend time exploring. You're not far from The Waymarker, an award-winning café that serves only ethically sourced Cornish produce from Thursday to Monday - their cream teas and Sunday lunches are to die for - and just a few minutes in the car will take you either to the Cathedral City of Truro of the maritime town of Falmouth, each with great shops, museums, galleries and, of course, places to eat and drink.
Step into open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas. TV, wood-burner, electric oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin. Bedroom with double bed and adjoining Dressing-room.
Please keep your dog on a lead when the owners' chickens are out and about.
