Shepherd's Hut in Somerset: A tranquil spot, awesome views and a hot tub… it's what dreams are made of. And when you see your very own pretty little shepherd's hut you'll know that luxury camping really doesn't get much better than this.

Breathe deeply, slow your heart rate and unknot those muscles. At Lamb's Tale Shepherd's Hut there are no demands on your time; simply sit back in perfect solitude, relax, and drink in the glorious views over meadows, fields and woodlands as far as the eye can see. Or you can trek into the hills on your mountain bike before chilling out under the stars in your own private hot tub. Why? Because you're worth it.

Set in its own large enclosed grassed area for utmost privacy, our lovely Lamb's Tale is slap bang in the heart of Somerset, on a working farm that's right beside the thousands of acres of Somerset's Quantock Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (it truly deserves those capital letters). He's a handsome beast of a hut, hand-crafted and cleverly designed for fabulous comfort, from the king-size bed with deep memory foam mattress to the kitchen with a fridge, Belfast sink, microwave and two-hob cooker. A combination of underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove mean you'll always be warm and toasty, and there's an en suite shower-room with hot water on tap, a heated towel rail and a proper flushing loo. And did we mention that there's WiFi and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player? One last thing. Should you wish to bring a four-legged friend, there's even a purpose-built kennel where Rover can dry off before joining you inside. Yes. Speechless. Literally.

Out and About

The farm is halfway between Taunton and Bridgwater, both lovely places to visit, and not far away is the medieval town of Dunster, whose winding streets are overlooked by a dramatic National Trust castle. Explore the ancient pathways, the woods and moorland of the Quantock Hills, the wilds of the Exmoor National Park, the long sandy beach at Blue Anchor Bay or the stunning scenery of cliffs, rocks and fossils to be found along this stretch of the Jurassic Coast.

Steps up to open plan living-room with kitchen, dining and bedroom areas with double bed, wood-burner, TV with DVD player, electric cooker (2 ring hob and mini oven), microwave, fridge (with ice-box), kettle and toaster. Door to Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin.
