Overview

Named after the famous western TV series ‘Rawhide’, this bespoke log cabin is perfect for lovers of the Wild West or anyone in search of an utterly unique staycation. The owner’s have put their heart and soul into crafting this hideaway, decorated with memorable pieces from their travels. Be sure to pack your walking boots, as there’s so much to explore in this unspoilt corner of Lincolnshire - your four-legged friend is warmly welcomed here, so they don’t have to miss out on the adventure! There’s a sumptuous super king-size bed, a rustic wood-burner to keep you cosy on those cooler days and an outdoor seating area circled around the fire pit for those balmy summer eves.

Step Inside

Oozing unique character and rustic charm, this western hideout is a special place to call home for a little while. You’ll be captivated from the moment you step inside, adorned with all things Wild West, from cowboy jackets to Indian headdresses. The owner’s have travelled far and wide, collecting memorable pieces from across the United States to display in the cabin. You’ll find plenty of thoughtful touches throughout, including books and boardgames, should you be kept inside by the weather. Stay snug by the warmth of the wood-burner and get cosy in the super-king size bed (this ‘zip and link’ bed can be made up as twin beds on request). Soft lighting adds to the utterly cosy ambience of the space. There’s a small but well equipped kitchenette, complete with an electric hob, fridge, toaster and kettle, so you can rustle up some holiday delights. After, refresh in the lovely shower-room and settle in for a romantic evening for two.

Outdoors

Nestled within the trees and boasting views across unspoilt countryside, the magic continues outdoors… Where you’ll find a rustic fire pit circled by tree stumps and lovely wooden chairs. Enjoy cooking and dining in the wilderness and sizzle up some fresh local produce over flickering flames. The owners kindly provide a small pack of fire starters, kindling and logs. You can also order breakfast and barbecue hampers, to make your stay even more hassle free! Get snug under a blanket and toast marshmallows until stars appear, or treat yourself to a soothing glass of red and cheers to a wonderful holiday spent in nature. This slice of rural paradise is just the spot for spending some quality time with the one you love.

Explore

At Rawhide you are sublimely located in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, so beautiful scenery is promised. Pack your walking boots and explore unspoilt grassland, shallow meres and stunning valleys, beloved pooch in tow of course! Why not head to Sutton Bridge lighthouse and embrace a blustery coastal ramble? Or venture a little further afield and discover the beauty of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Here, you’ll find enchanting woodlands and quaint villages - Willingham Woods is a large pine woodland worth exploring and the charming market town of Market Rasen is also stunning, centred around its cobbled market place. Whilst you’re in the area, visit the city of Lincoln for an abundance of shops, eateries and historic buildings. It boasts a rich heritage with its magnificent cathedral and Roman waterways.

Springfields Outlet and Baytree Garden Centre are situated in the town of Spalding, just 10 minutes away by car. Springfields offers a great selection of independent shops, lovely cafes and a craft centre, whilst Baytree Garden Centre hosts a vinyl store, antiques shop and a cafe. Be sure to keep an eye out for roadside stalls and farm shops along the way, as this area is renowned for growing crops. Stop off at Sheerers, the local butchers, and grab some fresh produce to later be enjoyed over the barbecue. Or if you fancy eating out, The Red Lion pub in Holbeach serves delicious food and has live music most weekends. Alternatively, The Anchor Inn in Sutton Bridge offers the best carvery around, on Wednesday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. No matter what's on your agenda, Rawhide is just the spot for your Lincolnshire adventure.

Extra Information

Please note, there are two other hideaways on site; Longhorn (5429) and The Sheriff (5428). All hideaways are nestled amongst the trees and positioned in a way to assure privacy. These western hideouts are great if you wish to experience a unique glamping experience with friends, but with your own secluded areas to enjoy.

Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There are no extra charges for cots or high chairs where they are listed in the property description on the website.

There is a charge of £38 per pet per week or short break.
