Inspired by the owners’ deep-rooted love for the Wild West, this bespoke log cabin oozes unique character and western charm. The hideaway is warm, cosy and perfect for two. Nestled in rural Lincolnshire, there’s plenty to explore nearby, but we wouldn’t blame you for spending your days at Longhorn, living your wild western dream. Life on the ranch is a breeze after all! The cabin boasts sumptuous soft furnishings, so comfort is guaranteed and a warming wood-burner for those out of season escapes. Not to mention, your beloved pooch is more than welcome to come along for the adventure!

Step Inside

Step inside and be captivated by this quirky abode. Promising a memorable and authentic glamping experience, the owners have put their heart and soul into crafting Longhorn. The rustic kitchenette is well equipped with all the essentials, including an electric hob, fridge, toaster and kettle. Head through to the bedroom and be transported into a scene from a Western movie. Decorated with cowboy jackets, Indian headdresses and dream catchers, collected from San Antonio to Arizona. The soft lighting creates a welcoming atmosphere and the warming wood-burner adds to the cosiness. The sumptuous king-size bed takes centre stage, adorned with luxury linens and throws for a dreamy nights sleep and there’s two lovely wooden chairs so you can sit back, relax and get lost in a good read. There’s also a shower-room to freshen up for the day ahead.

Outdoors

Peace and serenity is promised at Longhorn, nestled amongst the trees in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. Step out onto the front porch with your morning brew and listen to the gentle sway of the trees around you. Or why not play a game of Brag or Faro, whilst swaying on the rocking chair? The owners’ have kindly provided some books and board games for your use. As the day draws to a close, rustle up some delights over the barbecue - you can order breakfast and barbecue hampers directly through the owners, to make your stay even more hassle free! A small pack of fire starters, kindling and logs are also provided. Be sure to stop by the pig pen during your stay and say hello to Dolly, Doris, Annie and Jane, the sweetest kune-kune pigs! However you plan to spend your days, a stay at Longhorn is truly unforgettable.

Explore

With miles upon miles of stunning landscapes, beautiful grasslands and shallow meres, Lincolnshire is the perfect destination for an escape to nature. Head to Spalding and visit Springfields Outlet for a great selection of independent shops, lovely cafes and craft centre. Baytree Garden Centre is also in Spalding, boasting beautiful botanicals, a vinyl store, antiques shop and cafe. Both are just a 10 minute drive away. Keep an eye out for gorgeous roadside stalls and farm shops along the way, as this area is renowned for growing crops. Why not stop off at Sheerers, the local butchers, and grab some fresh produce to later be enjoyed over the barbecue! If you fancy eating out, The Red Lion pub in Holbeach serves delicious food and has live music most weekends, a lovely atmosphere. Alternatively, The Anchor Inn in Sutton Bridge does the best carvery around, on Wednesday evenings and Sunday lunchtime.

Head to Sutton Bridge lighthouse for a blustery coastal walk or spend a day exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Here, you will find lush grassland, enchanting woodland, an abundance of wildlife and rare flowers. Willingham Woods is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, a large pine woodland worth exploring! Whilst you're in the area, stop by Market Rasen, a charming market town centred around its beautiful cobbled market place. Or head into the city of Lincoln and discover its rich heritage. From its magnificent cathedral to Roman waterways, there’s so much to see and do. With all of this to explore and so much more, Longhorn is just the spot for a blissful getaway to beautiful Lincolnshire.

Extra Information

Please note, there are two other hideaways on site; Rawhide (5430) and The Sheriff (5428). All hideaways are nestled amongst the trees and positioned in a way to assure privacy. These western hideouts are great if you wish to experience a unique glamping experience with friends, but with your own secluded areas to enjoy.
