The beautifully presented open-plan living space allows your day to flow with ease and the outside area is quite simply a dream! Cook alfresco over the fire pit, sink into the steamy hot tub or stargaze from the raised deck. On arriving at Bovey Safari you will instantly leave your worries behind and will be able to immerse your mind, body and soul into nature's paradise.
Step Inside
Get ready to fall in love! As soon as you step inside you will be wowed by the gorgeous interiors. Every inch of the hideaway oozes rustic charm. From the sumptuous soft furnishings to the sweeping countryside view. You will see the farmhouse dining table to the left of the hideaway, the perfect spot for gathering the family to enjoy delicious dinners. To the right is the sweet sofa, just idyllic for relaxing with your favourite read. The well-equipped kitchen sits just behind the wood-fired stove, that not only allows you to cook scrumptious suppers, but will keep you toasty whatever the weather. The cabin-style bed separates the living and bedroom areas and will be extremely popular with younger guests. The twin bedroom sits just behind the cabin bed and to the right you’ll find the luxurious king-sized room. To the back of the safari tent is where the beautifully presented restroom, with WC and wash basin exists and opposite you’ll find the lovely shower-room.
Outdoors
As dawn wakes, why not head out to the decking with a fresh pot of coffee and simply listen to the birds, as they sing their morning tune? The raised deck is complete with a set of comfy wooden loungers, an idyllic spot for watching the sunset over the rolling Devonshire hills. The heavenly wood-fired hot tub can be found just down the steps from the decking. Once the children are in bed, pour yourself a glass of bubbles, hop in with your loved one and relax into a romantic evening under the stars. Below the tent, you will also find the sweet picnic table, and rustic fire pit area, perfect for alfresco cooking and toasting marshmallows!

Explore
Just a stone's throw from Bovey is quirky Totnes. Full of eclectic independent shops and an array of delicious eateries, it's a brilliant town to explore for the day. Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams countryside are right on your doorstep. Head to the postcard-pretty village of Stoke Gabriel, where you will arrive at the edge of the River Dart. Try your hand at crabbing or kayaking and then finish your day with a delicious bite to eat at The River Shack. For keen cyclists, head to Haldon Forest Park with its variety of cycling trails. You are able to hire bikes if you don't have them with you and there are plenty of family-friendly routes to explore!
On a sunny day, why not head to the coast as there are great beaches nearby? Visit the famous Golden Hind at Brixham or spend a day at the breathtaking Breakwater beach, followed by a dip in the outdoor Shoalstone seawater pool.
The combined riverboat and steam railway trip between Totnes and Dartmouth are not to be missed. For a day out right on your doorstep, the National Trust's Compton Castle is just a short stroll away. After a day full of adventure, you will love returning to your enchanting safari tent for a relaxing evening under the moonlight.

Extra Information
There are three other safari tents on site; Yealm Safari (5240), Tamar Safari (5334) and Dart Safari (5335) as well as Brownscombe Cabin (5228), Brownscombe Roundhouse (5225) and Brownscombe Tabernacle (2907).You are assured plenty of privacy during your stay and each hideaway has its own outdoor space. En-route to the tent, you will find the owner's shop, Brownscombe Larder, where you can stock up on daily essentials such as bread, milk and eggs. You can even purchase a local gift to take home to someone special, as there's a range of amazing local crafts to admire. If you wish, the owner can provide barbecue hampers and delicious casseroles served hot in a le creuset pot. Just pick it up each night from the barn and take it back to the Yealm to enjoy (order before your holiday).
Additionally, there is a games room with table tennis and table-football onsite (shared with the other guests). You will also find The Lodge where you can book a table to enjoy Fondue by the fire, as well as the Brownscombe Barn where pizza nights are hosted in the summer months. If you fancy a little pamper during your getaway, you can book in with the onsite beauty therapist for a relaxing massage, manicure and for other various spa treatments. There really is something for everyone here, but if you do prefer just simply relaxing in your serene sanctuary, we wouldn't blame you!
Wi-Fi is available in The Barn and in The Lodge.

Please note the extra onsite facilities such as; the games room, pizza barn, The Lodge, the shop (including hampers and hot meals), plus the beauty therapist are only available during the peak season. Please speak with the owner direct to find out more.

Availability, reservations and pricing: From £113 - £245 per night
Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There are no extra charges for cots or high chairs where they are listed in the property description on the website.
There is a charge of £38 per pet per week or short break.
A non-refundable booking fee of £40 is payable per booking.
