As soon as you leave the car and wander along the path to find your quirky home from home, all your worries of everyday life will simply melt away. Step inside and prepare to fall in love with the chic interiors. Simplistic, yet so stylish, you'll be making a list of things to buy for your own home in no time.
Step Inside
The safari tent boasts a sociable open plan living with a large dining table that's perfect for family meals. Gather around after a day of adventures and share special stories, or why not pull out a board game and enjoy some time away from your screens. To the right of the hideaway sits the lovely day bed, scattered with gorgeous linen cushions. Here you will also find the wood-fired range, perfect for prepping delicious dinners and for keeping you cosy as the evening draws in. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need for your glamping getaway, with a fridge, single electric hob and kettle for that all important morning cuppa. To the rear of the safari tent you'll find the main bedroom with a king-size bed dressed in lovely linens, the twin bedroom, perfect for little ones, plus the shower room and cloakroom with an extra WC and wash basin. There's one other bed in the hideaway which younger guests will be fighting over. The cabin style double bed sits to the back of the living space and in front of the twin room and offers the cosiest nights sleep! There are even hot water bottles for all guests, so if the weather does take a turn, you can stay snug within your magical retreat.
Outdoors
Step outside onto the deck to find the idyllic space to enjoy an evening cocktail in the setting sunlight. There's also a picnic bench for dining alfresco and a firepit barbecue, perfect for cooking in nature. Outside to the left of Yealm, is where your heavenly hot tub awaits. Once the little ones are tucked up in bed, hop in and enjoy romantic moments under the stars. Yealm Safari truly offers the perfect space for you and your loved ones to reconnect in nature.

Explore
A stone's throw from the cabin is quirky Totnes. Full of eclectic independent shops and an array of delicious eateries, it's a brilliant town to explore for the day. On Fridays and Saturdays, you'll find the bustling weekly market in the Market Square, where you can pick up local delights to take back to your hideaway to enjoy. The Bull Inn is just the spot for a scrumptious, seasonal, local and organic breakfast, lunch or supper… the choice is yours, but the menu is not to be missed!
Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams countryside is right on your doorstep. Why not head to the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel, where you will arrive at the edge of the River Dart. Give kayaking a go and then finish your day with a delicious bite to eat at The River Shack. For cyclists, head to Haldon Forest Park with its variety of cycling trails. If you are unable to bring your bikes with you, they are available to hire at Haldon Forest.
The post card pretty seaside town of Brixham isn't too far away. Visit the famous Golden Hind or spend a day at the beautiful Breakwater beach, followed by a dip in the outdoor Shoalstone seawater pool. There are plenty of lovely places for a spot of lunch or dinner, or perhaps a pint at one of the traditional harbourside pubs? Should you wish to take to the water, there is a ferry from Brixham harbour to the town of Torquay.
The combined riverboat and steam railway trip between Totnes and Dartmouth makes for the perfect family day out. Agatha Christie's former holiday home at Greenway is another must-see and, right on your doorstep you'll find the National Trust's Compton Castle. It's just a short stroll away from the safari tent. After a day full of adventure, you will love returning to your enchanting hideaway for a relaxing evening under the moonlight.

Extra Information
There are three other safari tents on site; Bovey Safari (5333), Tamar Safari (5334) and Dart Safari (5335) as well as Brownscombe Cabin (5228), Brownscombe Tabernacle (2907) and Brownscombe Roundhouse (5225), which are all part of Brownscombe Luxury Glamping. You are assured plenty of privacy during your stay as each hideaway has its own outdoor space and has been carefully positioned in a way that they avoid looking onto one another. En-route to the tent, you will find the owner's shop, Brownscombe Larder, where you can stock up on daily essentials such as bread, milk and eggs. You can even purchase a local gift to take home to someone special, as there's a range of amazing local crafts to admire. If you wish, the owner can provide barbecue hampers and delicious casseroles served hot in a le creuset pot. Just pick up each night from the barn and take back to the Yealm to enjoy (order before your holiday).
Additionally, there is a games room with table-tennis and table-football onsite (shared with the other guests). You will also find The Lodge where you can book a table to enjoy Fondue by the fire, as well as the Brownscombe Barn where pizza nights are hosted in the summer months. If you fancy a little pamper during your getaway, you can book in with the onsite beauty therapist for a relaxing massage, manicure and for other various spa treatments. There really is something for everyone here, but if you do prefer just simply relaxing in your serene sanctuary, we wouldn't blame you!
Wi-Fi is available in The Barn and in The Lodge.

Availability, reservations and pricing: From £113 - £245 per night
Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There are no extra charges for cots or high chairs where they are listed in the property description on the website.
There is a charge of £38 per pet per week or short break.
A non-refundable booking fee of £40 is payable per booking.
