Totnes is super unique with a weekly market on Fridays and Saturdays. From Dartmouth you can get the ferry to Dittisham, a pretty, unspoilt village.

Pay a visit to the Golden Hind, dine at one of its lovely restaurants or take a short drive to Agatha Christie’s Greenway House and delve into some literary history. On a warm summer's day, enjoy an ice cream or cool off in Shoalstones outdoor seawater pool. The River Dart is also gorgeous, you can go on a boat tour and visit the castle or try your hand at watersports, followed by a meal at The River Shack for fresh, locally sourced seafood.
