After you meander through the leafy woodland and arrive at your secret haven, enter through the pretty double doors and find quality furnishings throughout. The luxurious king-size bed complete with soft linens assures a peaceful, uninterrupted night's sleep. In the morning, look out of the perfectly positioned window at the end of the bed to see beautiful enchanting woodland. Enjoy a quiet morning, sipping a freshly brewed coffee as the wildlife begin to awaken. Birds, butterflies, deer and even otters have been known to shuffle around the surrounding area. Close your eyes and listen to the gentle breeze flow through the trees, providing an idyllic soundscape. In this moment, you will feel as though you have completely escaped the stresses of everyday life. To the right of the hut is a bright contemporary shower-room, perfect to freshen up after a long walk through the idyllic countryside. The excellently equipped kitchen and generous breakfast hamper will be ready and waiting for you upon arrival. Treat yourself to a delicious cooked breakfast made with local produce and fuel yourselves for a day of exploring this gorgeous part of the country.
As the sun slowly disappears behind the trees, head into the hot tub for a romantic evening of star gazing or light up the barbecue to experience al fresco dining. You will be amazed by the unpolluted skies that make for a very special display of starlight…one that you will never forget. After your evening dip and glass of bubbles, snuggle up in the luxurious robes and light the wood-burner. Your four-legged friends are sure to love curling up in front of the fire too. The Woodland Hut doesn’t have any Wi-Fi, making it the perfect retreat for a digital detox… disconnect from the concerns of daily life and connect with one another on this special getaway. However, there is good signal and 4G and an internet cafe nearby.

No-one could blame you for wanting to spend all of your holiday relaxing in this gorgeous hideaway. However, should you wish to venture out and explore, you have lots of choice nearby. The small picturesque village of Churchinford is very pretty and boasts a friendly local pub and excellently stocked shop. With a history of farming, there is a lovely mix of architecture from across the years. For walkers, cyclists and lovers of the outdoors, the Blackdown Hills is a natural paradise and The Woodland Hut is situated right in the heart of this tranquil landscape. There is a network of footpaths and cycleways just waiting to be explored. This area straddles the Somerset and Devon border so both counties are easily accessible from this beautiful hideaway.
The Jurassic Coast is only a car journey away, should you wish to venture a little further. Millions of years old, this special stretch of coastline offers plenty of incredible views to enjoy. If you are a foodie, head to Lyme Regis, to taste delicious locally sourced seafood. On your way back, make a stop at Forde Abbey, once described as the “most perfect monastery in England” or Otterhead Lakes, a glorious nature reserve on the site of a former Victorian estate.

Availability, reservations and pricing: £165 per night
Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There are no extra charges for cots or high chairs where they are listed in the property description on the website.
There is a charge of £35 per pet per week or short break.
A non-refundable booking fee of £40 is payable per booking.
