For the adventurers, don't forget to pack your walking boots as the Blackdown Hills are close by. There are many walks and cycle trails to be enjoyed here.
If it's shopping you love, then you are in for a treat! Honiton is only 6 miles away and has masses of antique shops and cafes. You'll also find that Wellington, a pretty town with indepentent shops to explore, is only a short drive away. Exeter is another fantastic place to visit for a spot of retail therapy. As well as being a historic and beautiful city, with its stunning Cathedral and waterside eateries, you'll find all your favourite high street brands here.
And now for the lovers of the seaside, Sidmouth is only 13 miles away and is a traditional coastal town. Pop down for a walk along the sea front and a portion of fresh fish and chips. There's also the pretty fishing village of Beer to be explored nearby. There are an abundance of pubs, cafes, and sweet little shops to be explored here, aswell as the option to have dinner on the beach. Beer makes for the idyllic date night.
