General

Isn't he a sight for sore eyes? Stibb Hollow Cabin is as charming as can be - and wait until you see his location - tucked away in the most tranquil spot with simply stunning rural views across open countryside to Dartmoor in the distance. Sleeping up to five, it's a fab place for a family break, two-couples-together getaway or romantic escape alike - prepare to create some very special memories.

The interior is surprisingly spacious, combining comfort and luxury with rustic charm. The open plan living-room has a well-equipped kitchen area with an electric hob, mini oven, microwave, slow cooker and fridge, and there is plenty of space for five people to sit and eat, plus a comfortable sitting-area with a warming wood-burner to ensure year-round cosiness. The two welcoming bedrooms - one with a sumptuous king-size bed and the other with both a double bed and bunk-beds - are at the back of the cabin along with the shower-room.

When you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be, dining al fresco on the covered deck, drinking in the views, toasting marshmallows on the fire-pit under the stars or gently swaying back and forth on the tree swing. For the kiddies, there is plenty of outside space to run free and even a one hole golf green in the paddock at the side of the cabin, which is sometimes home to the very friendly sheep (who they are welcome to feed under supervision). You may also meet the owner's free-range chickens and spot the cows in the neighbouring fields.

Out and About

If you can bear to tear yourselves away, you will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do - north Devon has so much to offer. Join the infamous Tarka Trail (a safe, traffic-free and fairly flat disused railway that runs alongside the River Torridge) at nearby Great Torrington - if you fancy exploring on two wheels, bikes can be hired at Torrington Cycle Hire. You can be at the glorious gardens of RHS Rosemoor within a five-minute drive and, for avid golfers, courses at Torrington and Holsworthy are within easy reach too.

The marvellous market towns of Great Torrington and Holsworthy are worth a visit for sure, along with north Devon's largest town of Barnstaple. Head to the coast for a good ol' dose of sea air, whether you venture out on the South West Coast Path or enjoy a day at one of the many brilliant beaches of the north coast (Croyde, Clovelly, Sandy Mouth, Westward Ho!, Widemouth Bay and Crooklets to name a few!) - why not give surfing or paddle boarding a go while you're there?
