Shepherd's hut with a hot tub in Devon: Escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnect with the natural world at Apple Blossom, an idyllic shepherd's hut located at the end of a tranquil natural meadow.
General
Inside Apple Blossom's charming, rugged exterior is a dreamy wood clad interior that has been perfectly designed for two. There is a great amount of space in the multifunctional living area with gorgeous windows and a fabulous Dutch door flooding the space with fresh, natural light. A lovely, compact kitchen lines the rear wall of the hut with everything you could need for your stay. The superbly finished kitchen sink is accompanied by a 2-ring hob, mini oven, fridge, kettle and toaster meaning you will be well equipped for preparing those delicious late lunches or romantic dinners for two; both of which can be enjoyed on the brilliantly subtle table with accompanying wooden stools.
At the end of the hut sits a gloriously cosy double bed that doubles up as the perfect spot to unwind, with plush fabric cushions inviting you to take a moment and lose yourself to the sounds of the trickling stream that runs adjacent to the shepherd's hut. Once the sun dips below the horizon, fire up the centrepiece wood burning stove and appreciate a calming evening in, making the most of the Flatscreen TV with built in DVD player. The hut also comes equipped with underfloor heating and WiFi is provided so you can research the best places to visit and plan many exciting adventures.
Wake to the crisp morning sun leaking in through Apple Blossom's beautiful linen curtains and pop into the delightful shower-room to enjoy a refreshing hot shower. The bathroom also comes equipped with a heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet meaning you don't have to give up any home comforts when enjoying your rural retreat.
Apple Blossom's outside space is made particularly special by a luxurious, wood clad hot tub, which provides the perfect place to spend those long summer evenings, sipping a glass of something special while gazing out towards the lush greenery lining the neighbouring stream. Delightful deckchairs and a gorgeously rugged bench also offer brilliant spots to enjoy freshly cooked cuisine from the hut's barbecue.
Also snuggled in this picture-perfect meadow is Apple Blossom's sister hut Cherry Blossom, although both have their own separate entrances and are very private from each other.
Out and About
If you can bear to tear yourselves away from this idyllic retreat, there is so much to see and do nearby. Exeter City is only short drive away. Full of brilliant high street and independent shops and eateries, plus a beautiful riverside and cathedral to be explored, it is well worth a visit! The magical Canonteign Falls is England's highest manmade waterfall and the enchanting trails through its surrounding woodland and beautiful fern gardens are brilliant for escaping the strains of city life. Powderham Castle is also a fascinating destination and is located in a unique and picturesque setting beside the Exe Estuary just five miles away from Apple Blossom making it well worth a visit. There are also numerous gorgeous beaches to explore, all within easy reach of the hut. Dawlish Warren, Teignmouth and Dawlish are all under 10 miles away and perfect for invigorating wild swimming.
For eating out, the pretty village of Kenn is just a five-minute walk away and has a renowned pub, the Ley Arms, serving delicious food.
